I think you misunderstand some of what I tried to say - I do not think thereā€™s much of anything in My Little Pony that is anatomically correct. Itā€™s a cartoon where horses can touch their noses with the bottoms of their hooves. So I think debating correct is too subjective to have any meaning - itā€™s all a matter of personal taste. Arguably the most anatomically correct images on the site are at best not what people are looking for, or at worst are openly reviled, because they end up looking like the old world style paintings of stallions behind grandpaā€™s sofa.

In MLP the only thing that is correct is in the show bible - and even the show only used it when it was useful. Itā€™s guidelines - not laws.
If you want to create a new tag because thereā€™s something you want to find, and thereā€™s no tag for it, figure out what such a new tag would be called and please propose it. Then if there is consensus, and you find images are missing the new tag, add the tag.
That way youā€™re making the positive case easier to find, instead of trying to force a negative case on everyone else, that you could avoid simply by watching artists and prompters who create what you like.
Or, you know, the whole ā€˜just ignore things you donā€™t likeā€™.
Anyway, Iā€™m officially out. Which means Iā€™ll never actually check back on the thread.

Alright I get the picture Iā€™ll skedaddle and spend my time doing other things. Iā€™m not here to argue. Though since that seems to be what people are doing to me Iā€™ll go ahead and end with one last argue comment before I go back to just lurking through tags and dadding to my image collection like normal:

Show accurate doesnā€™t have sex organs of any kind either. As soon as you sexualize them and especially bring them into the world of ā€œanatomically incorrectā€ the number of mammals that donā€™t have mammies are lowā€¦ Itā€™s literally in the nameā€”but since Iā€™m not a biologist Iā€™ll outsource the answer to an AI [Which I feel is especially appropriate given the content of the website weā€™re on.] or twoā€¦ and the results are:
ā€œAll mammals have mammary glandsā€”this is the defining trait of the class Mammalia and the origin of the name itself. There are no known species of mammals that completely lack mammary glands.ā€
So unless we are also going to say because theyā€™re magical they are not mammalia even though they are ponies this argument falls entirely flat.
Anyway, Iā€™m officially out. Which means Iā€™ll never actually check back on the thread. So no need to reply any further. Iā€™m a low-stress type I canā€™t handle these kind of debates, especially since Iā€™m just out looking at pony porn which is my #1 relaxation hobby so definitely donā€™t want to turn that stressful thatā€™s why I have filtration tags to filter out stressful content.

XD

Thatā€™s wonderful! Thank you for being willing to volunteer to do something you think is important.
But - what youā€™re proposing is not important to others.
And right now you seem to be working for the negative case instead of the positive. You are trying to tag your ā€œdo not wantā€ instead of finding a way to tag the ā€œwhat you do wantā€.
The negative case of what you are trying to tag (images that donā€™t show crotchboobs the way you want) is ENORMOUS. The positive case (images that do show crotchboobs the way you want) is much smaller.
So work on the positive case instead.
Please consider instead identifying those prompters and artists who are creating the kinds of crotchboobs you prefer and either use a custom hide filter to hide everything else, or create a custom watch list for only those prompters/artists making the art you like.
And maybe present examples of those ā€œwhat you wantā€ images and propose a tag for those - for the positive case - instead of tarring every other image on the site which you self-describe as being a ā€˜politically incorrectā€™ tag.

Case in point - you admit that ā€˜normal usersā€™ wouldnā€™t use it. But to work as a ā€˜not what I wantā€™ tag for your filter, youā€™d need everyone else uploading images to become aware of it, and have the same opinion about what constitutes your idea of what ā€œright crotch anatomy for maresā€ is as you are.
If you have an ideal of what ā€œright crotch anatomy for maresā€ is, then think of a name for that tag, find some examples, and ā€¦ I donā€™t know - if I were doing this I would:
  1. Create a gallery with those images.
  2. Come up with a really good name for that tag.
  3. Propose the new tag in a new thread so that it can be discussed, evolved, and maybe gain support.
And - most importantly:
  1. Use that gallery to figure out who my favorite creators are and make a watchlist for them.

I wouldnā€™t figure it would be something that normal posters would use nor one that would suddenly start being used by a ton of people; as you said people barely even tag basic stuff as is. But I also wasnā€™t asking other people to tag things, Iā€™m trying to volunteer to tag something I feel is important. Just need to know what to tag it as. My whole thing is that since Iā€™m already looking through a massive amount of images, and Iā€™m watch new posts, and thereā€™s something Iā€™d personally like to filter but canā€™t, and other people have told me they would like to filter by it too, it then just seems logical that I should try and volunteer to tag it, but I want to tag it as the most politically correct thing.
Looking on Derp quite a lot of images like the ones I want to tag are tagged anatomically incorrect, and that is usually the argument that I hear as to why people donā€™t like it, but while using that tag would make the most logical sense from a pre-established point of view, it also just feels like fueling a needless fireā€”and since itā€™s also not consistently used either, if Iā€™m going to invest a couple of hundred hours of time building up a tag to mean something for people Iā€™d like it to be more meaningful and less needlessly dramatic as anatomically incorrect tag would be.

Udders not being drawn on ponies =/= masectomy. There is no need for a tag for a lack of them drawn on solely for the sake of filtering. Tags should be two-sided, searching and filtering, and your case only seems to be that you (and presumably a few other people) do not want to see them. Do you know how hard it is to already get people to tag what tags already exist? Even by a logistical standpoint it doesnā€™t sound worth it.

I already have my own system overall. Iā€™m mostly here trying to talk about the idea of making a new tag largely for other people. Since really mastectomy content is kind of off putting, and IRL Iā€™ve talked to quite a few pony porn fans who find it really creepy and wished there was a way to filter it.
So since Iā€™m basically binge going through Tantabus anyway since I learned about it late, it would be a perfect time for me to binge tag stuff for other people if something was decided on.

You can hide individual images you donā€™t like and you should do that as there will not be a new tag created just for you that we can not expect other people to know about or use.

Yeah that was my thoughts too, anatomically incorrect just doesnā€™t feel rightā€”especially in the context of AI artwork where it takes on an whole different meaning. XD
Examples of why simply looking for images that have crotchboobs donā€™t work:
If Iā€™m looking for Twilight Sparkle I want to be able to find: [things where you canā€™t see crotchboobs but you can either safely assume they exist OR they donā€™t need to be there because weā€™re talking about human twilight or gender swapped twilight.]

I feel like on a politically correct side it would be to start tagging them all as anatomically incorrect but also looking at the content of that tagā€¦
Please do not use that tag for characters that are, technically speaking, ā€œon bookā€ for the show. I think itā€™s wrong to have one group tagging things as anatomically incorrect if they donā€™t match IRL horses, and another tagging things as anatomically incorrect if they look like they do in the show. Makes the tag utterly useless because itā€™s meaning becomes simply ā€œMe No Like This!ā€

Can you please provide an example of an image that you want to find, but that does not have crotchboobs, so I can see what is preventing -crotchboobs from doing what you want?

Generally, tagging an absence of something isnā€™t needed because you can search with negation. Searching for -crotchboobs would search for anything without crotchboobs. Exceptions are made, but they are just that: exceptions.
I donā€™t want things with just crotchboobs though that misses the point. Since any position where you canā€™t naturally see them itā€™s not an issue. Since itā€™s not the absence of crotchboobs thatā€™s the issue per se itā€™s the absence of them when they should be there. Since really a proper tag for this would probably be mastectomy since thatā€™s why itā€™s so off putting is itā€™s like looking a castration or penectomy image since thereā€™s a natural structure that should be there thatā€™s not.
So for example I wouldnā€™t want to have to search balls just because I donā€™t want to see castration I just donā€™t want to see castration so I hide castration and thatā€™s what I want here. I donā€™t care if I see crotchboobs I just donā€™t want to see mastectomy or whatever tag makes the most sense to start using.

So one thing Iā€™ve always wished I could filter by, but thereā€™s no tag for it is crotchboobless for images where you can clearly see the crotch on a feral pony and thereā€™s no boobs. I donā€™t care if thereā€™s human vulva on pony which is where 80% of these kinds of images come from just as long as the boobs are present in the correct place.
So I was wondering whatā€™s the policy for new tags and would it be alright if I started tagging things as crotchboobless or something more politically correct?
I feel like on a politically correct side it would be to start tagging them all as anatomically incorrect but also looking at the content of that tagā€¦ I feel like it would be too harsh even if technically true, since I feel like the anatomically incorrect tag is a good general filter tag to avoid truly messed up anatomy, where as really crotchbooblessness is just kind of its own unique fetish.

I feel like alternative cutie mark sounds less harsh and more ā€œofficialā€ so to say, while it may be an error this feels like a good middle-ground between mistakes and genuine attempts to make a different cutie mark. Technically wrong cutie mark also falls into a category of being ā€œalternativeā€ just not in a way itā€™s usually expressed.

Just my own two cents, but wrong cutie mark and bad cutie mark are the only two tags that should matter there. Wrong cutie mark would be anything where a pony has a mark that isnā€™t theirs, and bad cutie mark would be a cutie mark thatā€™s just straight up scuffed/poor quality.
I feel like thereā€™s an obsessive need to over-categorize every single possible kind of AI error from some users, and I do believe this will strangle the site. This community is not large or established enough to survive fracturing a userbase.
Forcing people to tag such things will just result in people not using it.

I think there should be a tag for models. Aside from tags for sites or which AI engine is used (like stable diffusion, midjourney, dalle), some pictures are reliant on specific models. Iā€™ve generated a fair amount of content in Pony diffusion and NoobAI, for instance.

Could we maybe get some tags like resource in description, lora in description, model in description etc?
Those tags might be colored different than green?.., so Iā€™m hesitant to adding them all willy nilly.

Thereā€™s so many tags for messed up cutie mark, and Iā€™m never really sure what tag to use when I see images without a tag for it at all, and the mark is all messed up.
alternate cutie mark and wrong cutie mark are the main ones.
ai doesnā€™t like cutie marks, altered cutie mark, cutie mark error, inaccurate cutie mark only have 1 image tagged as such.
If all these are supposed to be kept and used for cutie mark generation errors, itā€™d be helpful to know what tag to use when.
Iā€™m assuming it will be inevitable that AI gets trained on AI.
Garbage in, garbage out. So it probably behooves us to tag cutie mark errors in a more uniform way.
Maybe have it as a requirement to tag e.g. one of the above or tag it with e.g. correct cutiemark? (or blank flank, for intended blank flanks)? Just like using a rating tag is required (I presume, havenā€™t uploaded anything yet)

How is shipping tags decided upon? E.g. Fluttershy x Sweetie Belle, is tagged as ā€œFlutterbelleā€. Why not ā€œSweetieshyā€?
