or whether mailpony needs similar implications
Oh, right: mailpony should definitely imply pony.
Agreed. Done.
Why? I guess technically not every mare is a pony (can be a horse for example), but do you think we’ll get non-ponies tagged “mailmare”?
I think I was expecting to see more images of Gabby here, but - yeah, the vast majority (granted, it’s a very small set in any case) is pony. And given that:
mailpony +> pony
Added the implication:
mailmare +> mare, mailpony, pony
Fun fact: Derpi even has a mailgriffon tag.
Agreed. Ah! Found one:
mailgriffon +> griffon
There! Our tags are now officially more set up than Derpi’s (where the set of cases is 1).

Background Pony #635A
I think that mailpony isn’t a good implication for that one, but agree mare is.

mail… stallion?
Derpi has poststallion with 2 images. I think most of the time mail-carrying stallions are simply tagged “mailpony, stallion”.
Should mailmare only apply for Derpy?
Mailmare is not specific to Derpy, see mailmare AND NOT derpy hooves on Derpibooru.
I’m not sure if I should also be implying any of the other mail tags like mailmare hat, mailmare uniform, mailpony uniform
I don’t think so. For example, post office saddlebag and a letter in mouth clearly indicates a mailmare without any uniform.
or whether mailpony needs similar implications
Oh, right: mailpony should definitely imply pony.

If we had a generic tag for a person carrying mail, mailmare and mailpony should probably imply it. Derpibooru has mail carrier, mailman, mailwoman, postman. I think mail carrier looks most promising, but I think it’s best to bring this issue on Derpibooru, let them handle it and then use the solution they end up with.
Fun fact: Derpi even has a mailgriffon tag.

I think you misunderstand some of what I tried to say - I do not think there’s much of anything in My Little Pony that is anatomically correct. It’s a cartoon where horses can touch their noses with the bottoms of their hooves. So I think debating correct is too subjective to have any meaning - it’s all a matter of personal taste. Arguably the most anatomically correct images on the site are at best not what people are looking for, or at worst are openly reviled, because they end up looking like the old world style paintings of stallions behind grandpa’s sofa.
In MLP the only thing that is correct is in the show bible - and even the show only used it when it was useful. It’s guidelines - not laws.
If you want to create a new tag because there’s something you want to find, and there’s no tag for it, figure out what such a new tag would be called and please propose it. Then if there is consensus, and you find images are missing the new tag, add the tag.
That way you’re making the positive case easier to find, instead of trying to force a negative case on everyone else, that you could avoid simply by watching artists and prompters who create what you like.
Or, you know, the whole ‘just ignore things you don’t like’.
Anyway, I’m officially out. Which means I’ll never actually check back on the thread.
Well, ok then. Nevermind, I guess.

Alright I get the picture I’ll skedaddle and spend my time doing other things. I’m not here to argue. Though since that seems to be what people are doing to me I’ll go ahead and end with one last argue comment before I go back to just lurking through tags and dadding to my image collection like normal:
Those are not mastectomy. If anything, those are show accurate. Ponies in the show do not have visible mammies.
Show accurate doesn’t have sex organs of any kind either. As soon as you sexualize them and especially bring them into the world of “anatomically incorrect” the number of mammals that don’t have mammies are low… It’s literally in the name—but since I’m not a biologist I’ll outsource the answer to an AI [Which I feel is especially appropriate given the content of the website we’re on.] or two… and the results are:
“All mammals have mammary glands—this is the defining trait of the class Mammalia and the origin of the name itself. There are no known species of mammals that completely lack mammary glands.”
So unless we are also going to say because they’re magical they are not mammalia even though they are ponies this argument falls entirely flat.
Anyway, I’m officially out. Which means I’ll never actually check back on the thread. So no need to reply any further. I’m a low-stress type I can’t handle these kind of debates, especially since I’m just out looking at pony porn which is my #1 relaxation hobby so definitely don’t want to turn that stressful that’s why I have filtration tags to filter out stressful content.
Happy tagging, and thanks for tagging what you do!
Also since most of you are admin and this is probably the only conversational we’ll ever have since I’m not the commenting type: Thanks for the website too! I’ve been lurking around Derpy since it was launched took a month off from pony porn came back and was like “Man AI pony went out of style fast, the post rate feels almost non existent now.” Took me months to figure out that most of it got exiled and found a new home here since I’m not a forums/commenting type. XD

I think that mailpony isn’t a good implication for that one, but agree mare is.
mailpony makes me confused though - it seems the hierarchy might be:
  • mailpony
    • mailmare
    • mail ... stallion? - no, that doesn’t exist … here at least. But we do have care package
Should mailmare only apply for Derpy? Like - is mailmare just a Derpy thing? hmm .. ok, looking at the mail tags, I don’t have enough data to process how to wrangle it.
Ugh. I’m clearly overthinking this. I added mailpony and mare as implications to mailmare, but I’m not sure if I should also be implying any of the other mail tags like mailmare hat, mailmare uniform, mailpony uniform … or whether mailpony needs similar implications … I think unless someone can describe how this could all be wrapped up I’m going to look at how other sites populate this tag.

Excuse me if I am simply reiterating what @LightningBolt has already said, but …
What I want to filter out are images like these: [images clearly depicting mastectomy]
https://tantabus.ai/images/51534?q=twilight+sparkle%2C+explicit
https://tantabus.ai/images/50712?q=twilight+sparkle%2C+explicit
Those are not mastectomy. If anything, those are show accurate. Ponies in the show do not have visible mammies.
I’m trying to volunteer to tag something I feel is important
That’s wonderful! Thank you for being willing to volunteer to do something you think is important.
But - what you’re proposing is not important to others.
And right now you seem to be working for the negative case instead of the positive. You are trying to tag your “do not want” instead of finding a way to tag the “what you do want”.
The negative case of what you are trying to tag (images that don’t show crotchboobs the way you want) is ENORMOUS. The positive case (images that do show crotchboobs the way you want) is much smaller.
So work on the positive case instead.
Please consider instead identifying those prompters and artists who are creating the kinds of crotchboobs you prefer and either use a custom hide filter to hide everything else, or create a custom watch list for only those prompters/artists making the art you like.
And maybe present examples of those “what you want” images and propose a tag for those - for the positive case - instead of tarring every other image on the site which you self-describe as being a ‘politically incorrect’ tag.
I wouldn’t figure it would be something that normal posters would use nor one that would suddenly start being used by a ton of people
Case in point - you admit that ‘normal users’ wouldn’t use it. But to work as a ‘not what I want’ tag for your filter, you’d need everyone else uploading images to become aware of it, and have the same opinion about what constitutes your idea of what “right crotch anatomy for mares” is as you are.
If you have an ideal of what “right crotch anatomy for mares” is, then think of a name for that tag, find some examples, and … I don’t know - if I were doing this I would:
  1. Create a gallery with those images.
  2. Come up with a really good name for that tag.
  3. Propose the new tag in a new thread so that it can be discussed, evolved, and maybe gain support.
And - most importantly:
  1. Use that gallery to figure out who my favorite creators are and make a watchlist for them.

Default search

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
