Description

Where the Fireflies Learn Your Name
There was a little stretch of evening, somewhere between the sun saying goodnight and the moon deciding to stay, when the hills seemed to forget all about tomorrow.
No chores waiting beyond the trees.
No distant voices calling her home just yet.
Only the warm bark against her back, the hush of the valley below, and fireflies beginning to stitch tiny green stars through the grass.
She rested her cheek against one hoof and watched the last amber light spill between the mountains.
Maybe she had wandered out here looking for somewhere quiet.
Maybe this was simply where quiet had been waiting for her.
Either way, she smiled.
The moon was rising.
The fireflies were waking.
And for a little while longer, the whole evening belonged to her. ✨🌙
