Description
A mysterious pony had sold Thunderlane a magical potion, promising it would give him a perfect beach body for the entire summer. The results were not at all what he had expected—instead of making his muscles more prominent, it turned him into a squeaky inflatable toy made of glossy plastic.
Sunlight began to warm up his dark surface immediately, increasing his internal pressure so much that he could hardly move. The stallion tried to call for help, but only a faint squeak emanated from his airtight muzzle. Before he knew it, a nearby group of foals swooped in to claim the inflatable pegasus, mistaking him for a premium pool toy left behind on the beach.
No matter how much Thunderlane squeaked in protest, the foals wouldn’t give him a moment of peace until the sun finally fell below the horizon. Lying still on the wet sand once they had left, he felt a strange, hollow resignation that, somehow, he had successfully fulfilled his duty for the day. The cool evening air lowered his pressure, allowing him to move on his own once again. His hooves squeaked softly against the ground as he walked back home, slightly worried about what tomorrow would bring.
