Crystals are a nice touch I am surprised I don’t see more often in pictures of her nuclear family. Maybe ot is only an obvious touch in hindsight? And/or “Love” is a much more popular theme (which is no bad thing) so artists don’t do as much with the theme and Shining has “husband horse”, “ Flurries Father”, and “soldier” as ‘hats’, plus not every actually having USED crystal magic like Cadance did in the climax of “Princess Spike” (unless it was against The Terrible Trio, since I never got around to finishing those episodes).
