What, like war-magic in general?

In my game I have Pegasi take advantage of their natural electricity resistance by wearing very small, very compressed thunderclouds on their hooves. Thunder Cestus. Even an glancing blow releases the shock… which also means parrying higher than the cloud and making them strike an obstacle is a valid counter, plus I have them as single-use.

Shooting Lightning directly from the wings is common in various fanons, although at least one has it as also being alterable into other energy forms. If one assumes the Wonderbolts make their own trails rather than haing magical devices to do it, then Lightning is indeed something elites can do, and at least one of them can change that out for fire (Spitfire).

I also have Cloudsdale as being a warship. Pegasus carrier is obvious, massive lightning and hailstone bombastment below it only slightly less so. I do think I may be the only one to say if the flow of polymerizer into the liquid rainbow gets turned off (which it is in wartime), you get a very visually attractive equivalent to pepperspray, which can be release by the aersolized tankerload for hours-long area denial. EDIT: Either the bottom and sides of Cloudsdale or as “fog” on the area far below it.

Is that the sort of thing you meant?

P.S. You know how in Star Trek: The Next Generation, you know that horseapples are about to go down when they detach he saucer section? For Ponies it is “detach the civilian residential districts!” that means Cloudsdale is being deployed.

Neat. If you know of anything else like this (maybe even some pegasus arts), run it by me and I’ll see if I can’t visualize it. I want to balance unicorns for some distant future animation ideas.

A common enough fanon!

While I created this for other purposes I find it slotted in wonderfully in my D&D campaign. I partially models stuff like this… although it has a great “patience for centuries, then unleash cataclysm” aspect to it, rather than being something one can chain moves from.
