Horses frequently sleep standing up, but that sleep is more like a nap. They need to lie down in order to have REM sleep. They only need about 30-60 minutes of REM sleep a day, and that’s pretty much how much they choose to have.

Interesting! I knew Giraffe’s slept very little per day, but not that hours slept in such short runs. Makes sense for a prey species, although not so much for a large herd… Then again, bachelor herds might be smaller?
In any case, I doubt Little Ponies are much like that, or at least they didn’t like to leave their houses when awake in the night, or Luna would never have fallen.
URGENT:
Step 1: Go to bed.
Step 2: Sleep until you are truly well rested. Or you honestly and truly can NOT get (back to sleep).
Step 3: Get SPIKE to trim your checklists so you aren’t over working yourself AND/OR see a doctor for insomnia!
