My headcanon: Dash's first attempt at learning surveillance for when the Wonderbolts are called to combat duty failed as a result of selecting too small a cloud. This, in turn, was the result of setting a new record for lowest time to enter cover and begin reading off the text on the notecard located 300 meters away.
