Description

No one expected another Alicorn to emerge after the war. But it nevertheless happened, breaking Daybreaker out of her plans for revenge. In many ways, it gave her a focus beyond planning the war and rebuilding the planet… In many ways, it was also an opportunity to fill the void left by her sister’s disappearance nearly a thousand years ago with someone as immortal and powerful as she…
For young Cadence, fresh from defeating the spirits of hatred that had escaped their imprisonment, this was a shock. But she quickly realized that, despite her menacing exterior, her new aunt was kind on the inside. Even as a child, Cadence saw the aftermath of the war and the ruins it left behind, understanding everything. It’s no surprise that despite her kind heart, she grew up extremely focused at times on the war and her role as Empress Daybreaker’s growing assistant and anchor. Her relationship with her adoptive aunt remains warm, and she sometimes thinks about stories about Celestia, sometimes unsure if the changes have been so profound.
In many ways, this version of Cadence differs from the canonical one only in that she has more combat experience and greater participation in government life as a de facto ruler in training and perhaps even a reserve heir.
