This is not how Stable Diffusion works. Nobody is upvoting or downvoting during training. There’s no loss benefit to hiding them, in fact it would be higher loss to hide them when training on an image with hands.

When people downvote the bad hands during training, the AI learns “bad hands are bad” but not why they’re bad, and the easiest solution is to hide them, which gets a higher score. Same deal with beginner human artists, really.

AI programs have a tendency to avoid hands for some reason… Nonetheless it’s some cool stuff ngl
