It kind of works? Parts of it are a bit of a mess, like at the end of the tail nebula where it pools on the floor it kind of just looks like a mess at the thinnest parts. Also, the intersection of the blue and black parts of the coat, it looks more like the blue fur is melting like plastic int othe void that is the black. She’s also thin, but not like in the stylistic way you can see in the first episode’s prologue, it’s more like an artist forgetting Luna’s body morphology and made her front and back halves about the same time, and connected the two halves with a straight line.

I don’t know how much of this art was altered from the original source art, so it’s possible it just chose something decently well done, but altered it to make it look a bit off.
