Yes, it matters a lot. I use Forge WebUI (also via Stability Matrix), I know inpainting is more tricky in ComfyUI. I use options similar to the ones in the screenshot below. Important things to note:
Yes, it matters a lot. I use Forge WebUI (also via Stability Matrix), I know inpainting is more tricky in ComfyUI. I use options similar to the ones in the screenshot below. Important things to note:
- Masked content - what should be used under the mask, I always leave it at “original” to use the original image
- Inpaint area - “Whole picture” for major elements dependent on other things around it (limbs, patterns, etc.), “Only masked” for small, detailed, independent elements like eyes, cutie marks, jewelry, etc.
- Denoising strength - how much do you want to change the original masked content, I usually set it to values in range of 0.2 - 0.4, depending on the situation
- Sampling method, resolution, CFG Scale - leave them the same as in the original image

I use inpainting a lot, quite often combined with crude manual editing in GIMP. At the end of the creation process, I also manually clean up any imperfections such as artifacts and discolored inpainting areas.
Inpainting is very powerful and easy to use, you basically tell the model to fix the selected area and most of the time it works great.

Lovely scenery.
It’s fine.
Oof, even after death, Applejack is still in the background.
Looks great
I like this style.

You can just type the tag to create it.

Looks pretty good overall, but you might want to clean these white and yellow lines at the edges, as well as (I assume) inpainting residue around the hat and mane.

Thanks! I honestly don’t remember what exactly prompted me to make this, but I tend to randomly get different ideas.

Personally, I use the “Heal” tool in GIMP (among other things), but Photopea looks like a good online option, thanks for the tutorial.

Yeah, it’s similar to the anime style nose, not that bad.

Cool idea
I don’t think Twilight’s cutie mark is supposed to look like that from this position. Also, there are some weird artifacts around her. I think this picture could use some cleaning.

Oh, thank you!

Yes, but I had to crop and edit the original screenshot a bit, then use high denoising strength and repeatedly sculpt the output. I had to manually move the tail up and lengthen the rear legs, among other things.

Good picture, but please don’t forget to tag “anthro” next time.
Cool mares don’t look at explosions and Glimmy is definitely cool.
I like this style, just the right amount of fluff.

I add “(signature, username, logo:1.4)” to the negative prompt, but quite often I have to remove these things manually.

Interesting, it’s great to see some exploration of the model’s capabilities.
Books might be even harder to swim in than coins, but nothing will stop the bookhorse from embracing her passion.

I imagine it’s Anon very awkwardly asking Marble out.
