I think this happened because there’s a visual separation between the scales and the body, so CivitAI’s system interpreted them as “X”. I’ve already submitted a request to CivitAI asking to adjust the rating.
To me it looks more like a technical mistake — their automated detection seems to trigger incorrectly, so the image could definitely be moved back to “safe”.
I even have another case that’s even more confusing: an image with absolutely no hint of nudity, yet CivitAI still flagged it as “R” my last post

Seems to me, if they were trying to say that they would have picked Sprout, or at least Posey, rather than the only Pony in Maritime Bay with her head screwed on straight as far as Pegasi and Unicorns at the start of the movie (after the “Minor Kidtroduction”).

Well, her life WOULD have included this era one would think. The period in the middle of Luna’s banishment is not the best fanfic fodder of a point in time, but still oddly barren even for that now that I think of it.

Perhaps this should be Questionable? That and Safe are both things so wouldn’t object to. It COULD just be seen as a kink in her scales from the tail curl.

The fact that this image is completely AI generated, with zero editing done in post, is both impressive and seriously concerning. Mostly because it is getting to the point where I cannot tell this image is AI generated at all. I cannot see the usual artifacts that I typically expect from AI compositions.
That is very concerning for traditional artists.

Celestia is more of chess player / tactician than Luna. She delegates and moves the right ponies in the right position. She can defend herself, but not to the extent Luna can. Luna on the other hand is a brute, compared to her sister. Magic laser to the face, questions later. That’s why Celestia needed the elements in the first place to defeat Nightmare Moon, because Luna is the better fighter, when they fight on even footing. And I mean better fighter, not stronger. Celestia is a magical powerhouse, but she is simply not as trained. So each sister has their own unique strengths: Send Celly to negotiations, Luna when those fail.

But each characterization is valid. We only got brief glimpses into both sisters in the show so they are an empty canvas any one can fill how they like.
