Description
She thought the elements would turn her sister to stone. Or, judging by the light’s trajectory on that terrible day, trap her in the moon. Neither happened. Daybreaker dear sister vanished, and a thousand years later, no word has been heard from her, and all Daybreaker searches have been fruitless. After that, she threw the elements back to the Tree of Harmony and forgot about them.
On the anniversary of their battle, she sometimes sits at night and looks at the moon. Wondering how things would have turned out differently if Luna had been with her. Would she have seen through the aliens’ lies sooner. Would her sister have approved of the colony on her moon. But what’s done can’t be undone, and she’s left with nothing but regret. Maybe she should have given Luna a little slack that day. In the end, she, too, cast aside her old name in anger. Maybe this Nightmare Moon was right about the nobles and their behavior back then… But in the end, all that’s left is regret and an old wound that nothing can heal.
